Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Keter
Special Containment Procedures: Containment of SCP-XXXX is focused on the confiscation of all materials concerning SCP-XXXX-1. Regions with frequently occurring transmission vectors are to be monitored closely by MTF Upsilon-4 ("Sugar Pill") for occurrences of SCP-XXXX. A selection of infected D-Class are to be maintained at Site-34 for study.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a memetic anomaly, transmissible through certain vectors that occur in nature. Any witness or participant in the vector has a chance of becoming infected, though certain vectors appear to be inherently more infectious than others.
A list of phenomena tentatively marked as memetic vectors include:
- Experiencing a sunset occurring during an aurora phenomenon (35 percent infectivity)
- Picking up a stone from the banks of the Red Sea (98 percent infectivity)
- Shocked by ball lightning (58 percent infectivity)
- Witnessing spontaneous nuclear fission (46 percent infectivity)
- Standing on a ship experiencing St. Elmo's fire (32 percent infectivity)
- Severe disassociation (25 percent infectivity)
Other vectors are assumed to exist, but cannot be proven at this stage.
SCP-XXXX-1 is a reoccurring dream shared by all SCP-XXXX infectees, of an unknown corpse.1 SCP-XXXX-1 has been described to have a consistent appearance across dreamers.
- Golden-coloured eyes (schelera, pupil, and iris).
- Silver skin.

Addendum XXXX.1: Testimonial Excerpts
Journal excerpt of Jane Egerton, Countess of Bridgewater (CE 1687):
That insufferable bitch returns to haunt my dreams again. Even in death she mocks me, with her silver lips and those infuriating golden orbs. As still as the grave, yet I can see the narcissism dripping and heaving off of every ounce of her. She is more beautiful than I could ever hope to be, and she knows it.
John worries for me. He says it is not natural for me to spend so much time obsessing over fantasies. I overheard him consulting with a physician the other day. They think that I have gone mad, that I am hallucinating. Does he hallucinate when he sees me? Do men and women hallucinate when they open their eyes and see the world around them?
I see her everywhere now. In windows and puddles and when God's lightning illuminates the sky. Even in Thomas and Charles. Their faces become more like hers every day now, and I can barely stand to look at them.
I wonder how that woman would burn.
If I ever meet that bastard I'm gonna feed him to the fucking dogs
