Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is currently under supervision. Interviews are to be held monthly in order document its declining rate of consciousness. Due to the nature of SCP-XXXX, containment has been deemed unnecessary, and is currently allowed to work under the Foundation as a researcher.
Description: SCP-XXXX is the designation for the individual “Ried Chase,” currently affected by an anomalous form of Narcolepsy1. On random intervals, SCP-XXXX will enter a sudden state of REM sleep. This symptom is often accompanied by rapid shallow breathing, as well as the inability to recall all events in the past thirty minutes. Additionally, alongside the symptoms, SCP-XXXX will appear to misplace various events that has happened throughout its lifetime.
Discovery: Foundation researcher Dr. Ried Chase was designated as SCP-XXXX after entering a sudden REM sleep state during his work hours. He awoke fifteen minutes after entering REM, and was found to be unable to recall any events in the past thirty minutes in addition to the time he was unconscious. An interview was held with Dr. Chase shortly after, and was found to have been diagnosed with Narcolepsy.
