Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Keter

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is currently uncontained, due in part to its temporal manipulation. All humans believed to have interacted with SCP-XXXX are to be interrogated and amnesticised.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a sapient, mobile grandfather clock. It is able to affect the passage of time in a small area. It is not yet known if it possesses additional temporal abilities. SCP-XXXX is able to talk in English and French.

The method by which SCP-XXXX moves is unknown. It can travel over surfaces at a speed of approximately 3m/s; however, it utilises its temporal manipulation to travel large distances in what appears to be extremely short amounts of time. Due to its inability to cross bodies of water, SCP-XXXX is confined to the island of Great Britain.

SCP-XXXX offers services to people which it believes are likely to accept.. It appears before them and offers to "loan them some time". If the individual accepts the offer, SCP-XXXX will dispense a typed note out of a hole above its clock face, the contents of which are transcribed below.

If the individual denies the loan, a Glock 17 pistol will manifest out of the hole the letter emerged from, attached to a wooden rod. SCP-XXXX will proceed to shoot the subject six times before retracting the weapon.

If the individual accepts the loan, there will be no observable effect. Despite this, the individual will have believed that a substantial amount of time had passed. They will have been conscious for the amount of time specified in the loan; however, they will have been unable to move for the duration of it. Some individuals have described it as being "frozen in place".

Following this, SCP-XXXX and the subject will disappear. They travel to an unknown area, before SCP-XXXX requests that its loan is repaid. To do this, the individual must polish the surfaces of SCP-XXXX
