Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Neutralized (formerly Euclid)

Special Containment Procedures: In the light of the incident XXXX-C, SCP-XXXX is considered neutralized. Per standard policy regarding neutralized anomalies, the object is to temporarily remain in containment and be monitored for remanifestation of anomalous properties. Following this procedure, SCP-XXXX is to be decommissioned and the designation reassigned.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a 76x102 cm oil painting that depicts a creature visually resembling European folklore image of a dragon.

SCP-XXXX previously was a Class-III visual cognitohazard. An individual who had directly perceived the object would start to experience remarkably vivid lucid dreams each time upon entering REM sleep. According to affected persons, the content of dreams was positive, albeit significantly varied, and always involved SCP-XXXX-1 in some way.

SCP-XXXX-1 was a large (approximately 20-25 meters long), entity visually resembling the one depicted on SCP-XXXX. SCP-XXXX-1 was sapient and demonstrated a friendly attitude towards individuals it came into contact with during the dreams. Affected persons reported frequently interacting with the entity and understanding it despite it being incapable of speech.

Addendum 1: Incident Log

SMTH LIKE DISCUSSION

Alan: So, here's how I see this article atm:

  • Neutralized class and conprocs
  • Standard part with description and mentioning the dreams
  • Discovery log, in which we learn that they located the thing during an art exhibition or smth like this
  • The note from one of the people involved in containment who says that some employees see the dreams about the dragon, and are apparently affected. In response, the Site Director decides to keep observing the people and isolated them, but after learning that there are too many, she says that the personnel will be allowed to continue their duties.
  • [Some part that may emphasize that this thing affected people's psyche badly, I didn't think how to do it exactly yet]
  • An incident log that shows us how one of the agents gained access to the SCP and states that the skip was neutralized (this log will probably be very short, just a couple of sentences)I can help with this
  • Interview with the agent, who explains her motivation
  • Note from the Researcher who organized this all to the Site Director, explaining how they planned to kill the dragon to free people from its positive influence. The Site Director responds with releasing the Agent and revoking all charges against those who took part in neutralizing the SCP. Then comes the ending in which everyone is sad. I can do this

Mew: Yes yes
