Welcome to the Seas of Orcadia Canon
Does the Black Moon Howl?
Only When 13 are Watching Orkney
So, somehow you've managed to wander into a little thing called the Seas of Orcadia. This is a canon, a small one that is relatively new and hopefully will be growing.
What Exactly Does that Mean?
Well, this is a collaborative effort focused around a centralized narrative continuity, with the potential for infinitely many smaller continuities. In other words, there are many many stories to tell here. Most of these stories are based in or around Orcadian myth.
How to Write for This?
Orcadian mythology heavily borrows from a combination of Celtic and Norse mythology. Tales/SCP's within this canon aren't expected to adhere to any single major theme, but rather should try to broach/touch on aspects of this particular shared universe. I'll give a list of different things that compose the canon. It's not required to follow these to the letter, but I encourage consideration.
- Association with or around direct Orcadian Myths, these don't have to be exactly in line with the extant mythologies, but if you are writing based on extant Orcadian/Shetland/Celtic/Norse mythology, it is highly recommended you do thorough research and evaluation of the cultures, the stories themselves, the environment/geography, and archaeological/anthropological history in order to understand the context and significance of what you are writing. Remember, Orcadian Mythology is based on the verbal and written traditions of REAL people and groups. Treat them with the same respect you would treat mythology from maligned or marginalized communities. That said, you do not have to write explicitly based on Orcadian mythologies. Make up your own material, as long as it fits within the canons themes.
- The Foundation is the man on top, they have access to vast resources, contain a large number of anomalies, and have a pool of highly trained and experienced research personnel. Despite this, the Foundation in this canon are hesitant to use anomalies outside of desperate, large scale events, but events have forced their hand into an alliance. They acknowledge and know magic and magic based technology exists, but they do not have the same level of understanding and utilization that other GoI's may have.
- The Finnfolk are a Major and Powerful civilization with significant historical impact. The Finnfolk are an integral part of the canon, Seas of Orcadia articles/tales/GoI formats do not have to directly focus or mention them, but they are and were an influential civilization on a global scale. Their history and lore is somewhat formulated, but not 100% solidified.
- Magic, fantasy, and myth are big parts of this canon. Lore is important, and its still being built. DrBleep is writing from a specific vantage point with a set pantheon of gods. You do not have to follow her example in your writing, but like other major canons, there are certain things that will make this canon what it is . You don't have to be 100% in line with everything that happens in tales, scps, and/or GoI formats, as there will be lots of wiggle room given the arcane nature of the works in this canon. Get creative with your interpretation, just keep in mind what others have already written!
- DrBleep has written a pantheon of 13 deities for the Canon. Each deity was carefully chosen based on their prominence within the Wiki/Orcadian lore. Some of their background tales, and GoI's may not line up 100% with the goals of this canon, and sometimes they may conflict with each other based on other material that's written. This is OK, and expected as author's headcanons tend to differ.
- Locations will be global, but with a particular emphasis frequently calling back to the Orkney Islands. This is pretty obvious.
- The Mither is Chained.
Major Themes
The Seas of Orcadia Canon focuses on capturing major themes that are indicated below.
- Mysticism/Legend/Mythological: Orcadia focuses heavily on a sense of mysticism, vague, almost urban legend/folk lore-ish stories and concepts that depict a world or world(s) that is vaguely familiar but also foreign, as if it could have existed but only in the way that mythology and legends are often based in steeped elements of actual history that have become transformed by the art of retelling over time into the land of a fiction.
- Cycles. Nature Ebbs and Flows. A Major theme of the Orcadia canon is that nature runs in ebb and flow cycles. The climate and ecosystems of the Orkney islands were harsh, and at times unforgiving, but also bountiful, and plentiful in what they gave to their inhabitants. This is reflected heavily in the mythologies and folklore that stem from both Orkney and Shetland. Struggles against cruel aspects of nature is a itself is a holdover mythology from pre-Norse cultures.
- Fantasy A lot of Orcadia content is highly fantastical in nature, incorporating magic or cosmic scale. This is the kind of fantasy that is grounded in the stark mundane reality of the Foundation, and regular people, a contrast which lends itself well to evocative storytelling.
- Emotional Cores - Many Orcadia articles draw from strong emotional concepts build around the storytelling concepts and mechanics. Emotionally evocative works are a stable of the canon, ranging from love to loss to tragedy to parenthood to fear.
So You Want to Contribute?
Ah, so you've expressed interest in the canon, good! Enthusiastic writers are always welcome! If you have any pressing questions, feel free to contact any of the extant writers.
This section covers the distinct timeline of events within the canon. Certain GoI's, or sister canons may display inconsistent events with this timeline, this is ok. Certain dates within the canon are ambigous as they take place in areas with poor or little record keeping during the designated period.
13.82 Billion BCE
- BigBang occurs, allowing The Mither to be born into the Third Astral Plane. She is near omniscient at this point.
13.62 Billion BCE
- The Mither witnesses the birth of the first stars. She inadvertently creates the distinctions between the Astral and Normal planes, seeding the birth of the other 12 deities. She enters her first sleep.
10.3 Billion BCE
- Terran is born. He attempts to slay The Mither while she sleeps. He fails, and is thrown into the Normal plane.
- The remainder of the 13 awaken.
- Yaldaboath and Mekhane enter the Normal plane, and begin weaving the foundations of life and machines.
- The Scarlett King convinces 5 of the 13 that they must seal The Mithers Power.
- #13 forges the astral chains.
- The 6 partially seal the Mither's power. They are stopped by Pangloss, SCP-3000, and Children of the Golden Torch's God.
- The Mither wakes as Pangloss cuts out his own heart, sacrificing it to prevent her sealing. Mither stabilizes Pangloss and finds herself chained, most of her power sealed.
- The 6 flee into the Normal plane.
3 Billion BCE
- The Mither enters the Normal plane and tracks the 6, one by one hunting them down and dragging them to a planet where they will be sealed (Earth). The seeds of life have already been lain by Yaldaboath.
- The Mither seals the Scarlett King. With the orchestrator sealed, she begins searching for ways to break her astral chains, maintaining a physical form on Earth.
3900-2850 BCE
- 3150 BCE- Seas of Orcadia Part 1: How I Met Your Mither
- 3145 BCE - Seas of Orcadia Part 2: Trojan Equine
- 3100 BCE - Seas of Orcadia Part 3:
13 Eyes, All on Orkney
- The Progenitor, first and most powerful; eldest of those descended from the astral plane. Stripped of power by star filled chains. The one they fear. (The Mither)

- Trapped by his brother in many fragments, originator of darkness, shadow of the Astral plane. (He Who Made Dark)
- One who slew the Torch, and split them into infinitely many fragments. Burning light which shines from the Astral planes, hates man, trapped within glass by the Progenitor for his sins. (He Who Made Light)
- Consumer of the stars, slain by the light, and divided into infinitely many fragments, each set ablaze. His Astral presence remains trapped and forever out of reach of freedom. (See Children of the Torch)
- Consumption of thought, drainer of soul, great winding serpent of the body of Bengal. Thoughtless, stripped of sapience by the the Mither, left to feed and drain any soul who had the misfortune of approaching. (SCP-3000)
- The Void, Great holes found in the centers of star clusters, perpetuated by some alien presence. Said to be terrified of the Progenitor, and the only one of the 13 who has never set foot on Gaia. Forger of the astral chains.

Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Euclid
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is kept on an open benchtop in a specially designed laboratory within Site-234. Samples of SCP-XXXX are to be kept in non-sterile tubes, containing standard nutrient broth, under BSL-01 conditions. Cultures should be split into fresh media, and excess culture discarded every 2 days.
Researchers working with SCP-XXXX are not to use personal protective gear of any kind. Equipment exposed to SCP-XXXX and altered by its effects are to be sterilized using soap and detergent. Testing attempts should be limited to one exposure per iteration. Personnel should not enter testing chambers directly following exposure. (See Addendum 1)
Description: SCP-XXXX is an anomalous strain of gram positive bacteria closely related to Bacillus megarium. When exposed to any form of BSL personal protective equipment, SCP-XXXX's anomalous effects are activated.
Upon exposure, SCP-XXXX rapidly proliferates, covering the piece of equipment, before breaking it down at the molecular level, regardless of composition.2 The bacteria will then reassemble the molecules into a random piece of clothing, regardless of the previous composition. Reassembly takes from 5-30 seconds to complete, depending upon the size of the original item, and the subsequent size of the article of clothing produced. Due to the rapid nature of SCP-XXXX's effects, and the uncertainty in material, and shape that might be produced, exposure can prove hazardous to both D-class and Research personnel.
Addendum 1:
During routine experimentation, D-XXXX-35 was instructed to enter the testing chamber, containing 1 vial of SCP-XXXX while wearing a pair of standard safety glasses. D-XXXX-35 was instructed, by the attending researcher, to take a cotton swab, place it in the tube, and apply broth to the glasses. Following this action, the glasses proceeded to reassemble into a pair of women's red stiletto heels, with the shaft of each shoe protruding from the D-Class' eyes.3
Junior Researcher Betty Smith was tasked with entering the chamber, and aiding D-XXXX-35 with removal of the heels. Junior Researcher Smith's shirt made direct contact with heels, inadvertantly revealing a previously unobserved permutation in SCP-XXXX's anomalous effects, reassembling her clothes into a set of men's formal wear.4
In order to further explore this new permutation, an additional D-class, D-XXXX-36, was dressed in an identical set of clothes, and instructed to enter the chamber. D-XXXX-36 made direct contact with Junior Researcher Smith's contaminated clothing, at which point the SCP-XXXX's anomalous activated in yet another permutation, completely dissolving the clothing into a mass of liquid containing bacteria on the chamber floor. As Junior Researcher Smith and D-XXXX-35 were in direct contact with this liquid, their clothing was also subject to this effect leaving all 3 individuals exposed within the chamber.
Following the dissolution of the clothing, the mass of SCP-XXXX activated yet another permutation of its effects, reassembling into 52 miniature versions of Junior Researcher Smith and the two D-classes, which proceeded to "run" back and forth across the length of the chamber for 32 minutes before succumbing to effects of miniaturization.
The way you fix this up, I think, make it a bacteria in the wild that started off turning lab protective equipment into high fashion and now it's loose in the wild and mutating and shit

Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Keter
Special Containment Procedures: Quarantine zones have been established around exposed sections of SCP-XXXX. Within each quarantine zone, small scale BSL-4 facilities have been constructed over exposed segments to prevent flora and fauna exposure to excreted aerial or fluid pathogens. When directly interacting with segments of SCP-XXXX, personnel should observe standard BSL-5 safety protocols. Novel anomalous and non-anomalous pathogens collected from SCP-XXXX are to be prepared and shipped to Site-234 utilizing Biohazardous materials handling methods, and hermetically sealed containers. Site-234 co-directors Sherry and Leep Andrews are to be informed of all incoming samples, to allocate proper facilities for study. As the majority of pathogens produced by SCP-XXXX do not affect humans, close regulation and rigorous decontamination procedures have been set in place to prevent infection of local flora and fauna.
Attempts to excavate or develop property within 500 m of either exposed or subterranean segments of SCP-XXXX should be intercepted and discontinued. Probing of SCP-XXXX's capsid should use precision drilling instrumentation. Drill sites should not exceed a diameter of more than 30 cm, due to the risk of vesicular rupture. As the majority of SCP-XXXX is subterranean, efforts to explore and quarantine cavern systems containing exposed segments of SCP-XXXX are ongoing. Attempts to reduce or prevent damage to SCP-XXXX segments located near or along natural fault lines are ongoing; however, no effective measure to properly house or protect these segments has been designed, thus quarantine around sites of severance is of utmost importance. Oceanic segments of SCP-XXXX that are not buried beneath the seafloor should be camouflaged utilizing the sunken remains of various WWII, WWI, and non-military vessels.
Information, reports, academic articles, and historic accounts regarding non-anomalous pathogens originating from SCP-XXXX should be modified to indicate a non-anomalous origin. Deaths and/or illness caused by anomalous pathogens are to be covered up as particularly virulent outbreaks of non-anomalous variants. Individuals who claim to have encountered or been exposed to SCP-XXXX should be detained, treated with class C amnestics, and screened for the presence of anomalous pathogens.
Due to its length, there is some concern about interaction between SCP-2952 and segments of SCP-XXXX. As such interactions may facilitate the spread of either anomalous or non-anomalous pathogens, regions of close proximity between the two anomalies are currently being monitored.
Description: SCP-XXXX is an uncharacterized member of the Filoviridae5 family of filamentous hemorrhagic fever causing viruses measuring 42,000 km with a diameter of 240 m6 at it's widest point, with an average diameter of 30 m. SCP-XXXX segments are present in North and South America, Africa, Europe, and large portions of Asia. SCP-XXXX has two ends, with one originating near the village of Ikala within the Democratic Republic of the Congo, and the other originating near Sabanilla, Mexico. The anomaly is primarily subterranean in nature, with 72 sites of surface exposure currently under quarantine on dry land, an another 50 oceanic sites currently under close observation.
SCP-XXXX possesses a 2 m thick capsid, with large and complex glycoprotein spikes jutting from the surface at intervals between 3-5 meters.
Addendum: [Optional additional paragraphs]
DrBleep So basically, the SCP is a giant Ebola Virion, that stretches underneath Africa, the Middle east, South East Asia, and Indonesia. The Foundation doesn't quite know where it came from, but they've discovered that the virion is a giant pathogen generator. It randomly releases new viruses every so often, causing new outbreaks and epidemics.
09:13 DrBleep Most of the release pathogens never reach Humans, or significant numbers, because they are released along random parts of the virion, in a lot of remote areas.
09:13 DrBleep But occasionally, a pathogen gets released in more densely populated areas, and you get an epidemic/pandemic.
09:14 NineVolt DrBleep inb4 it gets severed by tectonic plate movement

Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Euclid
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX are kept in 25 separate containment enclosures in a large multi-purpose facility within Site-234. All of these enclosures have been constructed as a 3 dimensional sphere, encapsulating 625 cubic meters, and consisting of thick corrosion proof plate glass. 42 compressed gas tanks containing a mixture of 97% CO2 and 3% H2 are attached to the containment enclosure via 4 pipes located at the northeast, northwest, southwest, and southeastern points of the bottom of the tank. Containment units should be checked monthly for potential gas leaks, and should make sure that collection troughs are hermetically sealed before filtration procedures are initiated to prevent oxygen contamination. Two tanks capable of holding 1.2 million liters of specialized broth are attached to each sphere on the northern and southern ends via PVC pipes. All piping connected to the containment tank should be no more than 20 cm in width, and should be equipped with hermetic seals to prevent oxygen contamination. Tanks are to be filled with specialized media designed for the maintenance and propagation of Anaerobic Bacterium, consisting of the following components per liter of broth:
- 5 kg ground beef
- 250 ml of NaOH
- 300 g Trypticase Peptone
- 500 g Yeast extract
- 50 g K2HPO4
- 400 ml of 0.25% Resazurin
- 15 g L-Cysteine HCl
- 5 g Hemin
- 150 ml Vitamin K1
- 300 ml 95% Ethanol
Under standard growth conditions, SCP-XXXX enclosures are placed on a large scale rotating mechanism consisting of 8 rotary arms attached to 8 metallic loops at the top and bottom of face of each cardinal direction. The containment unit should be rotated at a constant 290 rpm, and temperatures maintained at a constant 37 C during standard growth conditions. CO2 and H2 percentage levels should be monitored regularly. Glucose levels within broth tanks should be monitored, should they fall below zero, personnel are to inject additional glucose until they reach an acceptable threshold.
Containment enclosures are to possess a single large retractable glass panel on the bottom of each tank. Plates will be opened during filtration and purge events, following every 30 replication cycles. Filtration and Purge stages are hereby referred to as Delta and Lambda Protocols.

Agent Superfly is an anomalous humanoid, due to the unreasonable levels of funk he displays. No one should be that cool of a cat.
Terrible SCP idea —-> Anomalous virus which causes the human immune system to turn on everything else, causing the person's body to fold in and shrink on itself
Item #: SCP-2381
Object Class: Safe
Special Containment Procedures: All venues providing SCP-2381 for purchase are to be investigated. Stocks of SCP-2381 on the premises are to be seized, and any in-transit shipments intercepted. Seized stocks are to be stored in a standard secured locker away from food storage areas.
Members of FFRH7 previously associated with SCP-2381 production are to be kept under observation (See Addendum 2). Should production resume, responsible parties are to be immediately detained, and means of production destroyed.
Cross anomaly testing via SCP-294 is permitted utilizing non-Foundation personnel as of 05-11-2011 with requisite level 2 approval.
SCP-2381-1 instances should be detained, and undergo standard chemical detoxification procedures. Foundation webcrawlers have been put in place to detect key phrases associated with SCP-2381.
Should a Class 1 event be detected, Protocol-73-"Deleafing" is to be initiated and elements of MTF-Chi-7 (Plague Tamers) and MTF-Tau-9 (Bookworms) deployed.
Description: SCP-2381 is a line of bottled pumpkin spice coffees manufactured by an unknown source (See Addendum 2). Consumption of SCP-2381 induces several anomalous changes in behavior. Individuals frequently begin to express preference towards SCP-2381 brands, declaring them to be "excellent", "the best thing ever" or other similar statements, regardless of their previous stance towards such products. Individuals who consume SCP-2381 are termed SCP-2381-1. Affected instances will begin aggressively and persistently encouraging others, primarily friends, family, and partners, to try SCP-2381. Refusal by the target party fails to deter such advances, and continued resistance will eventually lead to physical escalation, including forced consumption.
SCP-2381-1 instances experience an enhanced desire to migrate to rural areas and participate in subsistence agricultural practices. Attempts to dissuade individuals from migration through verbal means lead to heated debate, with instances insisting their presence is necessary based on knowledge of agricultural techniques pertinent to medieval British and Slavic society. Affected persons will assert that they should leave immediately, citing fear of missing "The Festival". Attempting to restrain or obstruct an individual from departing will result in physical violence until either the obstructor is removed, or the instance is physically disabled.
Once an individual reaches an appropriate rural location, they will engage in behavior consistent with that of medieval British and Eastern European peasants. Individuals will begin uprooting crops consistent with historical records of what was grown in these regions during autumn periods, regardless of the season or actual composition of the land that they are working.
When a group of 50 or more SCP-2381-1 instances accumulate within a radius of 3 square km, individuals will spend 2 days gathering crops, and will begin preparations for a Class 1 event. Class 1 events are a series of 5 day long celebrations and feasts, from the aforementioned crops, consistent with British "Harvest Festivals" and the Slavic "Dożynki". Key features of this event include:
- "Reapers"8 accompanying a large cart laden with harvested crops.
- Construction of "Scarecrows"9
- Long chants of "Return to the Roots, Restore the Harvest", "The Scarlet one shall guide us" and shouting "Hooky Hooky".
- Creation of dolls and other period appropriate toys from human hair10.
- Creation of a sacrificial human sized pancake stuffed with a variety of vegetables, and a large number of human fingers and toes11.
SCP-2381-1 Instances will actively ignore non affected individuals observing a class 1 event. Attempts to physically interfere with event proceedings are met with proportional violence. When not being directly observed, SCP-2381-1 individuals will stop all activity, and stare at persons within visual range until they begin direct observation, or are removed from sight.
At the end of 5 days, all persons will disperse into the surrounding fields and resume uprooting crops. Individuals will enter a repeated cycle of these behaviors for an indefinite period. After an indeterminate number of cycles, instances will begin directly secreting SCP-2381. Incapacitation and standard drug/alcohol detoxification procedures are the only known methods for halting these behavioral cycles. Individuals are currently projected to expire after 2 years if left unimpeded, however; supplementary interviews indicate another factor may halt this process (see Addendum 2).
Discovery:
SCP-2381 was initially discovered when Foundation analysts intercepted radio communications from a rural Sheriff in ██████ Tennessee. Intercepted reports concerned a large number of trespassing youth pulling up crops from an empty field in the middle of winter. Scouting elements of MTF-Chi-7 were dispatched under the suspicion of anomalous activity. Upon confirming the Sherriff's reports, five 6 man squads were deployed with tranquilizer rifles and stun guns, and ██ individuals incapacitated. All -1 instances were moved to standard human quarantine cells within Site 234, and interviewed, leading to the discovery of SCP-2381 as the source of the anomalous behavior.

On June 20th, 20██, an individual claiming to be involved in the production of SCP-2381 contacted Foundation personnel from Tau-9 (Bookworms), surrendering himself for containment in exchange for protection and asylum. This individual has been identified as Casper Wade, a known Serpents Hand sympathizer. Mr. Wade has provided a list of persons involved in the production of SCP-2381. Observation of these individuals is ongoing. The following section contains logs detailing, what is currently believed to be, the creation of SCP-2381.
Interview Log I-2381-64
Interviewed: Casper Wade, type Blue and Serpents Hand sympathizer
Interviewer: Dr. Maritta ██████
Foreword: The following interview details Mr. Wade's recount of the creation of SCP-2381 by the Farmers for the Return of Harvest. The recounting also describes an unknown, potentially malevolent entity. Further research is ongoing
<Begin Log, 9:42:15 June 21st 20██>
Dr. ██████: Good morning Mr. Wade.
Mr. Wade: [Nervously] Morning Doc, uh, y'all can just call me Casper if that's alright?
Dr. ██████: You're aware of the terms of your containment Mr. Wade?
Mr. Wade: [shifts in his chair] Yes'am.Dr. ██████: Then you also know why I'm here today?
Mr. Wade: [Frowns] Ya wanna know how we did it.
Dr. ██████: Not just how you did it, but where.
Mr. Wade: Right…where, uh, where would ya like me to start?
Dr. ██████: [Glances at her clipboard] Your initial containment report says that you mentioned something about the Library. Why don't we start there.
Mr. Wade: Right, well…ya see we go to the libr-
Dr. ██████: For the record, can you clarify what you mean when you say "we".
Mr. Wade: Right. We, as in myself and the other members of our little er, association, ya know Farmers for the Return of the Harvest, frequent that there Library12 for special magiks to help with our harvest.
Dr. ██████: Does your group associate with the Serpents hand in any way shape or form?
Mr. Wade: Sometimes we might need a little help with the magiks, other times they a might need help with their, um, supplies. But generally, no we ain't really associated, too much weirdness if ya catch my drift.
Dr. ██████: [Writes on notepad] I see, please continue.
Mr. Wade: So there we was, sitting and reading up on magiks for our crops, when I look up. All the sudden, it's just us, not another soul in sight, like the place had cleared out. First thing I do is look around couple times, then start poking the others, all the while hair is rising up on back of my neck. I start thinking "We need to get the hell out o'here." As I was a'turning to make my way towards one of dem nearby exits, I saw…it. [Pauses, glancing around. At this point becomes clearly agitated and afraid].
Dr. ██████: Mr. Wade, can you please describe what you mean by it? [Mr Wade fails to respond, still glancing around] Mr. Wade? Mr. Wade! [Snaps her fingers in front of his face].
Mr. Wade: [Jumps] Ahhhh, don't hurt me plz, I don't wa'ta'die.
Dr. ██████:Mr. Wade no one here is going to hurt you. Would you please continue. Describe this thing that approached you.
Mr. Wade: [Still fidgeting nervously] Where is the nearest Way.
Dr. ██████: [Redacted]. This site was chosen for your containment because of the distance from the nearest one. Now could you please continue with your description.
Mr. Wade: [Is visibly relieved] Where was I? Oh Right, it. As I'm movin' to leave, I see this…thing walkin' towards us.
Dr. ██████: Can you please describe this thing.
Mr. Wade: Er, well, it's a hard to say. He was real peculiar, completely covered in this there scarlet colored cloth, head to toe, ya'know like one of them super conservative [redacted slur] from dem there middle eastern countries. There was a hole where his face should've been, but it's like, when I try'd ta look at it all I could see was just a dark shadow.
Dr. ██████: So what you are saying, is that it was a set of scarlet robes that moved and behaved like a person, but had no person in it? [Writes on notepad] Was there anything else about this figure?
Mr. Wade: When I looked straight at him, I just got really dern cold, and suddenly couldn't move like my legs had just sprouted roots or somethin'. It just kept walkin toward's us, and the closer it got the more terrified I 'member feeling.
Dr. ██████: [Writes on notepad] Based on your initial containment report, you said someone compelled you and your companions to make SCP-2381. I assume at this point, that this thing you are describing was responsible.
Mr. Wade: [Nods nervously] Yes m'am. We just stood there and once it got bout…oh I say 6 boot steps in front of me, it stopped and started speaking.
Dr. ██████: Can you recall what it said?
Mr. Wade: [Shakes head sadly] Not 'he specifics. Soon as he start t'speak was like we were being dipped in warm molasses. Felt like all my worries were dripping off, even though inside I was screaming. I member some vague promises about how he would bring youngins back to the roots, bring back dat energy that we had in the good olden days. Lies, all of it was dirty lies, but that tongue o'his was like a viper, we just couldn't say no.
Dr. ██████: So he compelled you to follow his will under the assertion that you would benefit. It's at this point he instructed you on the recipe's and equipment needed to make SCP-2381 correct?
Mr. Wade: [slides down in his chair] Yes'mam.
Dr. ██████: Could you describe the process and what happened after?
[Redacted for brevity and security purposes]
Mr. Wade: That's when we got the largest pumpkin we had ever seen. George started ta cut it open like it instructed, and when he removed the top something just started screaming. This horrible wail, and…oh may god and jesus have mercy on me, when we looked it was still alive rolling and a squirming. I want'ed to stop, Gerald did too, could see it in his eyes, but we kept going. We [Redacted]. Once we had it all bottled it was kinda like it's grip was broken. [Appears to be slightly nauseated] Must have vomited at least 5 times alone right there.
Dr. ██████: [Is visibly shaken but maintains detached composure] And then it came for the final product?
Mr. Wade: Not right away, must'a been 2, 3 hours before they came for it. It didn't even come for it itself. No, we stayed there in that crumblin' ruin of what musta been a fine grain brewrey at one point, and waited. The longer we waited, the more uneasy we felt about what we'd just done. Gerald and I just-about convinced the rest to destroy it when they showed up.
Dr. ██████: Please describe what you mean by they.
Mr. Wade: 'Somethin I'd never seen anythin like before. Human-esque shaped torso, with multiple arms and legs that looked like they came 'traight from some sort of bug. Clothed in these scarlet robes, and the head…had the head of a dog, but with large horns, and unreal teeth.
Dr. ██████: Did they interact with you?
Mr. Wade: Completely ignored us, took the stuff and just left.
Dr. ██████: Can you give us the address of this Brewery?
Mr. Wade: Sure [Redacted] Along the mighty Mississippi about 50 miles south of Memphis.
Dr. ██████: Thank you Mr. Wade, this has been immensely helpful. Agent Riley here will escort you back to your containment cell. [Gets up to leave]
Mr. Wade: [Doesn't move, looking down at his feet] Y'know Doc, you know what the worst part of it was.
Dr. ██████: What is that Mr. Wade?
Mr. Wade: They ignored us. They came into our fields, just a few at a time until there were about 50 or so. Tried to give them food, shelter, water, and they ignored us. Sat there pulling up crops that don't even grow here, and ignored us. All we wanted was youngins to see the value of working the land. [Pauses]
Mr. Wade: I think it's using them to come back.

I know you think I'm qualified to handle things Sherry, but not this. I'm requesting a transfer. -Dr. ██████
Elements of MTF-Tau-9 were deployed to an abandoned Grain Brewery 80 km south of Memphis, Tennessee along the east bank of the Mississippi river. Thorough searching of the interior confirmed the presence of a Way in the furnace doors. The building showed recent signs of occupation, and several pieces of equipment related to the production of Coffee. Pumpkin residue was found scattered in various portions of the building, alongside trace remains of degraded bone.
