Parawatch/Westhead Media Crossover

Item #: SCP-5364

Object Class: Euclid

Special Containment Procedures: Foundation webcrawler ("SAFER-OV12") is to continue monitoring LinkedIn, Careerbuilder, Indeed, Glassdoor, and all related employee recruiting websites for job notices matching the key phrase, "online paranormal journalist." In the event that SAFER-OV12 detects this phrase, and can successfully trace the corresponding job notices to GoI-17831, automated Foundation programs are to remove these listings from their respective websites, as well as flag any related search inquiries made from public users. Flagged users are to be recovered, interrogated, and reinserted into the general public after a completed psychiatric evaluation, in which the usage of Class C amnestics is required.

SCP-5364 is stored within an Anomalous Media Storage server located within Site-119. Access to SCP-5364 and it's related media is restricted outside of testing. In the event that Foundation personnel are exposed to SCP-5364, they are to be reclassified as Class-E and adequately contained until they no longer exhibit anomalous properties, which can take approximately 14 days. If personnel continue to exhibit anomalous properties for a period that exceeds 30 days, complete identity reconstruction is required.

Description: SCP-5364 refers to a series of three anomalous video recordings, hereby designated as SCP-5364-1, SCP-5364-2, and SCP-5364-3, respectively, that are propagated and targeted towards specific individuals, usually those active in paranormal or unexplained occupations with journalistic backgrounds. Once these individuals have been determined, either through technical or anomalous means, SCP-5364 will manifest on the target's preferred device, with SCP-5364-1 appearing first. After two subsequent 24 hour periods, SCP-5364-2, and later SCP-5364-3, will replace the previous instances. Although all SCP-5364 instances appear to possess visual cognitohazardous qualities, it is believed that each operates differently in order to achieve a particular outcome. Listed below are descriptions of each SCP-5364 instance and their assumed purpose against targeted individuals.

Subjects that have been exposed to the entirety SCP-5364 temporarily cease cognitive-function, which continues until SCP-5364-A can fully manifest. SCP-5364-A refers to previously targetted individuals that have succumbed to SCP-5364. SCP-5364-A instances are memetic humanoids capable of digitally spreading SCP-5364 through anomalous means. Once individuals manifest as SCP-5364-A instances, they are unable to retrogress to their previous state.

We all remember and adore the famous American blockbuster Forrest Gump, the novel/motion picture that reimagined the American spirit and triumph. Whether or not you have seen the movie in its entirety, or if you've seen the memes of "Run Forest, run!" appear on other forum sites, you should be at least somewhat aware of him as a character.

But unfortunately for you, dear reader, this is where the praise for the beloved Forrest Gump ends. As of now, I need you to reimagine everything you know about this movie and its protagonist. Today, loyal reader, do I have a mystery for you.

We will go back to who Forrest Gump is later, but for now, I would like to focus on his famous scene on the bench. Hopefully, you should be able to remember this scene, and if not, don't worry. Tell me, reader, what does Forrest Gump tell the lady at the bus stop? If you've ever seen the movie, you should vividly remember him telling her, "Momma always said life is like a box of chocolates." I, too, remember him saying those exact words. And I don't appear to be alone.

However, Forrest Gump does not say this. Instead, he says, "life was like a box of chocolates." (Don't believe me? Go take a look for yourself.) It seems weird, doesn't it?

Currently, no one, not even myself, has an explanation for this… phenomenon. However, I will be working on this head-scratching conundrum daily in order to find the truth. But for now, just take some time to consider the why? Why do we, as a collective society, constantly get this silly line wrong?

Is it the Mandela Effect? Or is it something more sinister? I don't know about you, reader, but this smells like a conspiracy theory to me. Please, let us work together on solving this mystery. I'll be updating this thread again shortly with new information. However, for now, let us all work on this question together:

Why does this line stick out more than any other line? Why don't we remember it clearly? Is the government involved, or perhaps maybe something eviler?

part 2, this is where they reiterate some of the previous experiences, plus how they gain access to video 2. Paranoia heightens, subject begins to hear thoughts that aren't their own, has sudden urges but can control them for the most part.

somewhat of a misleading update, stating that they're genuinely scared that someones watching them (hallucinations), goes in-depth about their sudden urges to eat flesh and how their "hive-mindness" has become stronger, feeling more people get involved (westhead media employees)
