Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Safe

Special Containment Procedures: Due to SCP-XXXX's antimemetic properties, it is considered effectively self-containing.

If capable personnel should sight SCP-XXXX, they are to continue to observe the subjects and notify Dr. Schneider immediately to report their observations and await further instruction. Following demanifestation, reporting personnel are to collect the present leftover objects and deliver it to Dr. Schneider.

Webcrawler Huron-12 is to monitor online platforms for discussion of SCP-XXXX and expunge relevant information as needed.

Description: SCP-XXXX denotes a pair of Class-II incorporeal, slightly translucent entities designated SCP-XXXX-A and SCP-XXXX-B, manifesting as a male and female of assumedly European descent. SCP-XXXX exhibits a mild antimeme that prevents cognizant awareness of them while being directly observed, and as such, most observers simply fail to notice their presence; observers with a Cognitive Resilience Index of 45 or higher are able to bypass this effect.1

SCP-XXXX-A and -B only appear during manifestation events that occur at places with high cultural value, scenic environments, or similarly attractive qualities. The subjects will proceed to find seating of some sort and sit; if none is available, they will sit on the ground.

SCP-XXXX will always face the key feature of their manifestation point, typically a monument, scenic view, or item of interest, and exhibit affectionate behavior.2 After a variable amount of time, the two will rise and demanifest.

SCP-XXXX has never been observed from the front, and to date all sightings have been from behind. All recorded attempts to view SCP-XXXX from the front invariably prompt the subjects' immediate demanifestation.

Following SCP-XXXX's disappearance, a single object will be left in their place. These objects appear as a variety of items, though usually pertain to the location of manifestation. (See Addendum XXXX.1 below.)

Addendum XXXX.1: The following is a collection of logs detailing notable SCP-XXXX manifestation events.
