Provisional Site-24 and the surface entrance to SCP-XXXX.

Special Containment Procedures: Provisional Site-24 is to be maintained at the surface entrance to SCP-XXXX and staffed by no less than five personnel, at least three of whom are fluent in written and verbal dialects of Aramaic and ancient Hebrew, and at least one fluent in SCP-4179. Though civilian traffic routes have already been rerouted away from the Site, any civilians discovered within the area are to be detained and amnesticized as needed.

If SCP-XXXX-A should move from its current position in a way that would compromise SCP-XXXX-B, all personnel are to evacuate within five minutes before specialized demolition charges planted in the ceiling and walls of the cave, as well as connecting system, are detonated so as to collapse the entrance and seal the cave. Additionally, Foundation armed forces and construction teams are to be mobilized to Provisional Site-24 and remain on-site until the surface entrance to SCP-XXXX has been fully sealed.

Should any instances of SCP-XXXX-C escape during this time, they are to be incapacitated and detained for further study if possible but otherwise terminated on-site; if feasible, SCP-XXXX-A is to be located and kept alive as well. If the number of escaped instances overwhelms present forces, aerial bombardments have been pre-approved to prevent the propagation of escaped instances. If such methods are resorted to near population centers, aerosol amnestics are to be distributed throughout the affected area and a cover story faulting the damage to a local terrorist cell is to be disseminated.

All explorations into SCP-XXXX are to be conducted with the approval of the current Foundation Geological Division’s Head Director Dr. Jaskes, or any approved sub-directors. Due to the nature of entry into SCP-XXXX, these explorations are to consist solely of nonessential personnel equipped with standard long-distance broadcasting equipment and supplies capable of lasting teams no less than two weeks within SCP-XXXX. As of 8/9/19, entry into SCP-XXXX is prohibited until further notice, see below.

In the event that SCP-XXXX-C instances cannot be stopped from exiting SCP-XXXX in their anticipated numbers, increased armed presence is authorized to engage; standard operational secrecy protocols are to be temporarily rescinded during this time and will return upon the containment or termination of all SCP-XXXX-C instances. Should these measures fail to halt the propagation of SCP-XXXX-C instances, Foundation personnel worldwide are to prepare for the possibility of DK-Class “Dominance Shift” and ßK-Class "Lifted Veil"1 scenarios and await further instruction from Overwatch Command.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a massive subterranean space solely accessible via a complex natural cave system attached to a traffic tunnel located roughly a kilometer from the ruins of the ancient city of Azekah in Palestine. This connecting system descend underground for approximately 0.5 kilometers before terminating at the true entrance to SCP-XXXX, which consists of a hemispherical tunnel carved out of bedrock; the floor and walls of this space exhibit unusually smooth and polished surfaces. This space extends westward for approximately 700 meters before intersecting with an entity designated SCP-XXXX-A.

SCP-XXXX-A is a large humanoid bearing a vaguely Semitic complexion, muscular build, numerous tattoos across its body, tattered clothing, and a height of 6.2 meters. SCP-XXXX-A consistently maintains a kneeling position, save for its arms, which are bound and held outward from its body by large chains secured to the tunnel wall. SCP-XXXX-A is fully sentient and has even been known to converse with personnel, primarily speaking in ancient Hebrew or Aramaic. (See XXXX.A Interview Logs)

A vertically oriented planar field of unidentified energy (designated SCP-XXXX-B) emanating from SCP-XXXX-A at all times extends outwards from the entity to the tunnel walls, appearing to block further passage into the area behind it. Solid objects2 directly interacting with this field will be pulled with progressively more force to the other side of the field once contact is made, with the attractive force intensifying as more of the object's volume crosses over. Once an object has fully crossed this barrier, it will be unable to cross back over again. To date, no methods have been discovered for returning objects, or personnel for that matter, from this side of the field.

Beyond SCP-XXXX-A and -B, this tunnel extends for another 5 kilometers before opening to the main body of SCP-XXXX, a massive cavern possessing an unconfirmed volume thought to exceed several thousand square kilometers; no ceiling has been detected within a SCP-XXXX's main chambers, suggesting the space may be at least partially extradimensional in nature, though SCP-XXXX's lower chambers are confirmed to have ceilings. Current models of SCP-XXXX show it to be composed of at least three main chambers connected by vertical shafts.

SCP-XXXX's main chamber houses a variety of bio-luminescent flora and occasional instances of fauna that grow scarcer in deeper sections of the area.
