NOTICE FROM THE FOUNDATION DEPARTMENT OF PSYCHOLOGY
Please be sure to consume an instance of SCP-XXXX-1 before experimentation/interaction with SCP-XXXX-2.
~ Dr. Gufol

Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Euclid

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX-1 and -2 are to be kept within Dr. Gufol's office for easier access to testing and research purposes. Any personnel requesting to research SCP-XXXX-2 is to consume an instance of SCP-XXXX-1 before their interactions with the item. Research and experimentation should be carried out in private.

Hello? Andrea?

Description: SCP-XXXX is the collective designation for a family-size jar of green olives1 and a 30-centimeter tall wooden statue of a Great Horned Owl.2

SCP-XXXX-1 consists of 60 identical green olives that self duplicate when one is removed from the jar. If an olive is consumed by a person at Level E on the Cognitive Stability Measurement Table (CSMT), they will experience clearer thoughts, increased happiness, cloudier thoughts, an increase in intelligence, major bouts with depressive episodes, satisfaction with themselves, a developing intellectual disability, and lower self-esteem.

SCP-XXXX-2 has a minor compulsive effect on people within the IQ range of 110-129.3 This effect manifests randomly upon one person within this range at a time. SCP-XXXX-2 will attempt to distance itself from people within the IQ Classifications of High average to Superior.4

Exposure to SCP-XXXX-2 for long periods of time has proven beneficial. SCP-XXXX-2 has shown the ability to cause a gradual decrease in cognitive ability to the person it is affecting as well as a minor and constant feeling of disorientation and doubt. SCP-XXXX-2 may also cause, auditory, and visual hallucinations, testing into this has been inconclusive. Long term exposure to SCP-XXXX-2 has proven fatal.

You seem tired.

Addendum 5: My Notes
SCP-XXXX-2 keeps asking me questions.

Just let me in.

SCP-XXXX-2 wants me to eat more of SCP-XXXX-1.

SCP-XXXX-1 consists of multiple delicious olives that I love eating. I should eat more.

SCP-XXXX-2 is a good friend. He just wants to help me.

SCP-XXXX-2 is a very friendly owl who has helped many people.

SCP-XXXX-2 is nothing but nice to me.

I just want to help you. May I?

Yes… please.

Addendum.6: Post-Recovery Report
SCP-XXXX-2 and SCP-XXXX-1 were found in the possession of a vessel, once Head Department of Psychology Director Andrea Gufol. Upon the discovery of her body and the items within her office, a document consisting of the incorrect use of the Cognitive Stability Measurement Table, contradicting anomalous properties, potentially infohazardous images, and incoherent ramblings, was found.

Surveillance logs showed, Dir. Gufol consuming over 310 instances of SCP-XXXX-1 within 3 days while in the presence of SCP-XXXX-2. This long term exposure to SCP-XXXX-2 combined with the extreme amounts of SCP-XXXX-1 in her system seemed to cause major mental and intellectual degradation. The vessel found within the office has been moved to cold storage for further research.

Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Euclid

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX-1 and -2 are to be kept within a private storage vault under the Department of Psychology Headquarters in Site-12. Any personnel attempting to retrieve either item is to be immediately detained and vetted for signs of mental degradation and/or memetic influence.

Description: SCP-XXXX is the collective designation for a family-size jar of green olives5 and a 30-centimeter tall wooden statue of a Great Horned Owl.6.

SCP-XXXX-1 consists of 60 identical green olives that self duplicate when a single instance is removed from the jar. When consumed, SCP-XXXX-1 causes a person to experience higher suggestibility, doubt, confusion, and disorientation. This effect has shown to last no longer than 30 minutes. When consumed in excess, SCP-XXXX-1 will cause major mental and intellectual degradation.

SCP-XXXX-2, through means that are not currently understood, can telepathically communicate with people within a 5-meter range of it. While under the influence of SCP-XXXX-1, SCP-XXXX-2 will attempt to coax the person it is communicating with into trusting it. Once this occurs, the object will explain that it can relieve a 'weight.' SCP-XXXX-2 will continue to manipulate its victim into consuming SCP-XXXX-1 instances until the victim allows SCP-XXXX-2 to relieve said weight.
