Special Containment Procedures: SCP-5000's whereabouts are currently unknown. Research is concentrated in developing extradimensional traversal technology in order to locate and recontain SCP-5000, as well as head researcher Dr. Katelyn Statham.

Description: SCP-5000 is the corpse of Francis Hale2. While a full autopsy is impossible due to the anomalous properties of the corpse, the presence of several fatal stab wounds indicate Hale was murdered. No signs of decomposition have been observed in the corpse throughout the duration of containment.

SCP-5000-1 through -3 designate three Class-IV non-corporeal entities capable of possessing human subjects entering a four-metre radius of SCP-5000. If multiple humans are within the radius the amount of entities that manifest is entirely random; the same entity may possess multiple people and speak in unison. Exiting the radius reverses this effect, however most possessed subjects do not move enough to exit without external force. While SCP-5000-1 through -3 are connected to SCP-5000, research indicates they did not originate from the corpse.

Discovery: On 18/03/2011, local law enforcement responded to multiple reports of a haunted corpse in Bellingham, Washington. Embedded Foundation operatives attempted to bring SCP-5000 into containment, resulting in the possession of nine personnel by SCP-5000-1 through -3. A drone team was deployed shortly after, forcibly removing the affected personnel and transporting SCP-5000 to Site-139 following the amnestisation of law enforcement present at the scene.
