SCP-XXX.

Item №: SCP-XXX
Anomaly Class: Euclid
Site Responsible: Site-75
Director: Horace Ax
Research Head: Ricardo Menard
Assigned Task Force: N/A
Level 2/XXX
RESTRICTED

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXX is to be kept within a modified hangar allowing for unrestricted movement. For recreation, SCP-XXX is to be provided with any requested literature in audiobook format.

Description: SCP-XXX is a 1969 Soviet Mil Mi-24 attack helicopter. The vehicle displays advanced sapience and motor control, and is capable of speech in English and Russian.

The weaponry previously attached to SCP-XXX has been replaced by two modified water cannons, mounted on either wing of the helicopter. The modification allows the cannons to draw moisture from clouds and condense it into liquid water, which is then stored within a "bladder" inside SCP-XXX. A further modification to SCP-XXX allows the vehicle to fuel itself using a form of artificial photosynthesis, the process of which is believed to be thaumaturgic in nature. Due to these modifications, SCP-XXX is completely self-sufficient.

Addendum XXX-1: Discovery

SCP-XXX was first discovered in ████, Idaho, United States, at the site of a Neo-Nazi rally. The Foundation was alerted to possible anomalous activity after several reports were made to local police about a "self-driving helicopter screaming in Russian." Foundation agents dispatched to the scene found SCP-XXX firing on the rally with its water cannons, while vocalizing in both English and Russian1.

After initial efforts at containing SCP-XXX failed, the vehicle fled and was pursued for approximately ███ kilometers. SCP-XXX was eventually recaptured in ████, Canada, and was taken to Site-75 for containment.

Addendum XXX-2: PoI-XXX

PoI-XXX, photographed in 2010

Research of the possible origins of SCP-XXX showed a possible connection between SCP-XXX and a military scrapyard in ████, Wyoming, United States, owned and operated by former US Air Force mechanic Darnell McGraw (hereby designated PoI-XXX). Security footage from August 14th, 20██ (five days prior to discovery of SCP-XXX) shows PoI-XXX restoring SCP-XXX to working condition, affixing the water cannons and bladder to it, and performing a variety of thaumaturgic rituals before the vehicle begins moving on its own accord. SCP-XXX and PoI-XXX appear to converse for several minutes before SCP-XXX takes off.
