Containment Class:
esoteric
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX, due to its public nature, is currently accessible to the public; however, measures have been taken in order to ensure that the anomaly can be discretely contained.
Once every five days, beginning at noon, a priest of Catholic faith is to perform Ritual XXXX-ξ at the peak of SCP-XXXX:
- Recite the first chapter of the Book of Genesis.
- Bathe for one hour in holy water, whilst twelve female virgins dance around him singing praises to the Hanged King.
- Denounce all other religions and kiss a rattlesnake.
- Speak the true names of the members of the O5 Council.
- Recite Procedure 110-Montauk.
- List the moral crimes the Foundation has committed during the length of its institution.
Should Ritual XXXX-ξ fail to be completed, MTF Alpha-1 ("Red Right Hand") and all other available task forces are to travel to SCP-XXXX in a final attempt to possibly destroy SCP-XXXX-Ω.
Description: SCP-XXXX refers to Mount Kilimanjaro, which currently contains SCP-XXXX-Ω. The mountain is subject to intense fluctuations in Hume radiation, and as such has been a focal point for apertures and breakages in barriers between realities. It currently presents a Class-7 Reality Hazard, and a Class-9 Physical Hazard.
Currently, the area of SCP-XXXX intercects with the first four circles of Hell, and as such is capable of acting as a correspondence point with Tartarean-class demonic entities.
SCP-XXXX-Ω is a Dante-class demon, approximately 500 meters tall. SCP-XXXX-Ω is currently located in the ninth circle of Hell, and is attempting to enter baseline reality by intersecting SCP-XXXX with the ninth circle.
SCP-XXXX-Ω appears to only be placated by submission, in particular by those of both faith and power. Satiation is most effectively achieved by high-ranking individuals of Catholic faith, as well as by the submission, humiliation, or confession of any major power.
The full extent of SCP-XXXX-Ω's power is unknown, but its nature as a Dante-class demon means that it may very well be capable of causing an XK- or YK-Class Scenario.
Addendum XXXX.1: The following document was found in a wooden box on one of the pathways to SCP-XXXX's peak:

Secondary Class:

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is completely open to the public; due to the nature of its anomalous properties, no further containment procedures are necessary.
Description: SCP-XXXX refers to Mount Kilimanjaro. It bears no anomalous properties besides the fact that it anomalously occupies the SCP-XXXX designation permanently, despite Foundation efforts to remove it from the catalog. SCP-XXXX will then give a false database entry for itself.
The designation in question (as seen above) fictionally refers to SCP-XXXX being the arrival point for a Dante-class demon. Containment procedures consist of a ludicrous and ineffective ritual in order to halt the progress of the nonexistent entity, primarily consisting of methods to shame the Foundation or members of the Catholic church.
SCP-XXXX's anomalous effect was apparently created by Dr. Eric Heinrich, a former level 1 researcher, shortly after his employment with the Foundation was terminated.
The false SCP-XXXX documentation was mistakenly treated as legitimate when it was discovered in the database by the director of Site-23. A task force was assembled to complete the ritual, and the party made it to the mountaintop before receiving a message that the file was an anomalous fabrication.
It became apparent that SCP-XXXX does not allow any alterations to its documentation unless it is narratively compatible with its own presentation. Due to this, Operation Firegate was approved in order to allow clarity and refutation of SCP-XXXX's documentation:
- A "true document" for SCP-XXXX is written, but not placed in the database.
- Said document is covertly transported by a Foundation agent and placed at SCP-XXXX.
- Document is "found" by a different Foundation agent and inserted into SCP-XXXX's documentation under an addendum.
Document XXXX-B: The following document was left at Site-23 by Dr. Heinrich, shortly after his employment was terminated:
Alright, screw you guys. Seriously. Two containment breaches, and I'm totally fired? I mean, sure, I might have been careless with a few anomalies, but it's not like I screwed up everything.
But seriously, you guys are heartless and cruel. The Foundation is the highest-potential job for any researcher, and you know it. But a few screw-ups with learning the ropes, and all of a sudden that opportunity is snatched away. I didn't even get to be a project head for any of these objects.
Well, it's petty, but I know there's a few guys who'll help me get back at you. I was hoping to get the XXXX slot, and it looks like I'm getting it now! Maybe afterwards I can do some more. MC&D is probably hiring. Or maybe that splinter group, they could use a source from the inside.
Dr. Heinrich's reemployment at the Foundation is not being considered.
