Throne Of Darkness

Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Safe

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is contained in a Size-3 Containment Locker in Site-42.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a throne constructed of fused human bones, designed to seat a single human. Any human being who sits upon SCP-XXXX will become SCP-XXXX-1. SCP-XXXX-1 is immortal and invulnerable while they remain sitting upon SCP-XXXX.

SCP-XXXX-1 will become non-anomalous again once it removes itself or is forcibly removed from SCP-XXXX. Individuals who leave SCP-XXXX begin suffering the same damage and aging that they would have experienced while upon SCP-XXXX.

Discovery: Evidence of SCP-XXXX's existence is present in various manuscripts throughout history, but definitive proof of its existence was only determined after the discovery of The Throne's Cult. Reference to it is most prevalent in "The Unending Pain Of The Prince," a 15th-century poem by William Darth, telling the story of SCP-XXXX-1 and the apparent turmoil that comes with SCP-XXXX's power.

MTF Chi-8 ("") was assigned to counteract the efforts of The Cult Which Worships SCP-XXXX-1. Their main meeting place was discovered to be a basement underneath an apartment building in New York, New York. MTF Chi-8 was deployed and discovered several hooded figures surrounding SCP-XXXX-1, chanting lines from "The Unending Pain Of SCP-XXXX-1". Agents detained the attending members and removed SCP-XXXX-1 from SCP-XXXX, rendering him mortal and causing him to age at a rapid pace.

Shortly after being captured, the former Prince Who Sits Upon SCP-XXXX, determined to be a man named Harold Plinkin, began complaining of intense pain in his midsection. A medical examination was conducted into the nature of Plinkin's pain.

Examination revealed that SCP-XXXX lacked proper lumbar support, resulting in Plinkin developing chronic back pain. Plinkin attempted to file a formal complaint against MTF Chi-8, but expired before he was able to complete the required paperwork.
