Hey there everyone, long time lurker here. Has anyone had any weird experiences with Yellowstone? Just had something kind of strange happen.

A while ago I was going through my dad's attic and found a few boxes of old polaroids. My dad was never the type to keep sentimentals around the house, so I just assumed they were my mom's. Most of them were pretty normal, mostly just pictures of me as a baby. A few minutes ago I found another box, tucked behind my dad's old college trunk. The box was labeled "Yellowstone '89". The photos were pretty worn, but the main issue is that I can't remember ever going to Yellowstone in the first place. Me and my dad would go camping all the time when I was younger, but the people in these photos feel like strangers to me. That can't be possible though, I'm in some of them. I've only gone a few pictures deep but none of this feels familiar.

Pic related is the best quality one I've found so far. I'll keep you updated as I go through the box some more.

If this were anything other than Yellowstone I'd just ignore this, but I know better than to dismiss something involving that damn park. I actually used to be part of the park's core maintenance team before I left. We most kept the trails in good shape and fixed any unstrurdy bridges or fences, but every once in a while we helped with an injury or missing person. The worst part of the job was the hot springs. I honestly believe nothing good happens around them. I never saw anything in them directly, but I saw the aftermath. I would get called out to fish the deer carcasses out of the Collo at least once a week, or what was left of them. Whatever it was, I guess it only liked the heads.

I've still got some of my old staff maps lying around. If you keep sending in pictures, I could probably pinpoint where they are in the park.

Thanks. I was worried I'd just be shrugged off. Went through some more of the photos in the meantime. The more I go through the more confused I get. Just found one that's really degraded. The scanner didn't like it one bit, refused to load it. It might be too badly degraded to show up, I don't know. It's me and my dad sitting in some dirt circle around a pile of rocks. Might be an unlit campfire, but I don't know.

There's just this sinking feeling in my gut whenever I start to look through the box. It's probably just paranoia but it might be something else. Why did my dad keep this from me? He always knew I'd wanted to go to Yellowstone, but he just gave me this blank look whenever I asked.

I've always asked my dad about going, but he just shrugged me off.

I remember other trips from when I was younger. So why can't I remember Yellowstone?
